PCCP is widely used for major water transmission lines across North America. As these critical pieces of infrastructure age, it is important to ensure they remain in good working condition. Part of this process is various inspection and condition assessment methods and approaches. Understanding what is required by the owners, the operating conditions, what services can be offered and the composition and design of the pipe are all critical pieces of information that go into understanding the lifecycle and asset management of the pipeline.
ACPPA President Kevin Baas (P.E.) and ACPPA member Yan Lan (P.Eng., M.Eng.) will be hosting a workshop alongside pipe owners, consultants and service providers to discuss the various points of view and methods of asset management for PCCP lines at this year’s UESI/ASCE Pipelines Conference in Calgary, AB on Sunday, July 28th from 8:00am to 12:00pm. You don’t want to miss this!
