ACPPA member Brad Ryan (P.Eng.) from DECAST will be presenting a paper on various means and methods of trenchless installation of concrete pressure pipe at this year’s UESI/ASCE Pipelines Conference in Tampa, FL. This presentation will cover installation methodology and how various types of CPP are suitable to different methods, pipe design, and also review three separate case studies. This paper was written in conjunction with Ward & Burke and Jacobs.
The first case study will discuss a traditional two-pass installation of 11.4km (7mi) of 2400mm (96in) C301 ECP within a tunnel constructed by rib and lagging. The second case study will review a single-pass microtunneled installation of a 1500mm (60in) C300 pipe. Finally, the third case study will touch on a two-pass installation of 900mm (36in) and 1200mm (48in) diameter C301 LCP within a microtunnel casing pipe.
Make sure you are available on Monday, August 11th from 10:30am to 12:00pm to learn more about tunneled installation of concrete pressure pipe!
